Arctic Trek

This Trek was originally designed for an Iditarod guest who wanted to explore the Bering Sea Coast beyond Nome and travel above the Arctic Circle.

This is a Trek for the true adventurer, for we will travel across some of the most remote regions of the Earth and visit Eskimo villages few will ever see.

By late March the Arctic days are becoming long again, with 12-14 hour days depending upon latitude.

Highlights include seeing historic Nome and the wildlife of the Seward Peninsula, visiting remote Eskimo Villages to meet artists and persons living an authentic hunting and gathering lifestyle, traveling to the northernmost city in Alaska, 350 miles above the Arctic Circle, dog mushing, seeing incredible Northern Lights, soaking in natural hot springs and traveling across hundreds of miles of untouched wilderness including that of the Arctic Coastal Plain. If we are lucky we will see Polar Bears.

Day 1: Arrive in Nome, welcome dinner
Day 2: Nome to Saint Lawrence Island and the village of Gambell
Day 3: Nome to Kotzebue
Day 4: Kotzebue to Barrow via Point Hope
Day 5: Barrow to Bettles via Deadhorse
Day 6: Dog mushing tour, winter sports and Northern Lights viewing in Bettles
Day 7: Bettles to Talkeetna via Manley Hot Springs
Day 8: Talkeetna to Anchorage

7 days/7 nights beginning Nome and ending in Anchorage. Available mid-March after Iditarod $7,900.00 per person
