Ultimate Wilderness Lodge
  The Ultimate Wilderness Lodge Trek

Bear catching salmon at Brooks River - Greg Syverson photoUnlike the other Treks, this Trek is based at single lodging location and focuses upon the rich wildlife and beauty of southwest Alaska.

You will unpack and relax each night at our sister company, Crystal Creek Lodge, a deluxe, modern log lodge located near King Salmon at the edge of Katmai National Park. Each day you will travel into one of the region’s numerous, gigantic National Parks, State Parks or National Wildlife Refuges.

The lodge is staffed by a team of guides who are experts in their profession and are dedicated to your safety and enjoyment. A fleet of planes are based at the lodge.

Each day will be a new adventure as you depart from the lodge for daily activities. Daily fly-outs are typically 2 or 4 persons and may consist of mixed-parties under the supervision of a guide.

Highlights include watching the world famous Brown Bears of Katmai, observing capes covered with wild Pacific Walrus, seals and sea lions, watching herds of caribou grazing or perhaps fishing the world-famous local rivers, lakes and streams for salmon, trout, char & grayling. Other available activities include birding, geology, hiking, beachcombing for antique glass fishing floats and other artifacts, bicycling, freshwater kayaking and visiting Eskimo Villages to witness Native culture and meet artists.

While you enjoy the natural wonders of the surrounding area by day, each evening you will be ensconced by the hospitality at one of Alaska’s finest, full-service wilderness lodges.

4 -7 day packages available June 1-October 1 beginning and ending in King Salmon. $5,250.00-$7,500.00 per person
